"Each year the Department of Art and Art History host an art competition that is open to all students who have enrolled in an art course that year. A guest juror, typically distinguished gallery director, curator or art critic (David Y. Chang in 2019) selects pieces from the submitted artwork and awards cash prizes to outstanding student artists. The competition is open to all media."
I am extremely thankful to have my work accepted for its first exhibition at the Miami juried Student Art Exhibition. Drills, Spills, Kills is an image that highlights the effects of oil spills in the ocean and how they will eventually come full circle to hurt us as humans as well.
