I find myself reflecting today on the past two years during my masters program. I recall how art school was a learning curve for an academic striver like myself, it wasn't always black or white, right or wrong and everything was subject to opinions. It challenged me to think for myself rather than what was defined by a textbook and to push the boundaries to excel past what was required in order to succeed. Many a nights I felt overworked, at my limits, and wondering if I would see the finish line... And now all of these memories of struggle make this moment today all the more special. I graduated top tier on the Dean's List, received an A on my thesis as well as my degree project, and I am so grateful to have been pushed so hard to get here.
I'm so incredibly thankful to my family and support system of friends that helped me get to where I stood today. I am looking forward to seeing where my path leads next in the field of photography and absolutely can not wait to keep creating. But first, I think it's time to give myself a breather and perhaps a pain au chocolat to celebrate xx
