As I'm approaching the end of my studies, I can't help but reflect on how far I have come. Despite the stress and the deadlines, this semester I have taken time to find myself again. I've been exercising and spending time with friends, activities I previously thought would take away from my work as I felt overloaded with work. The truth is though, these activities have actually improved my work and its quality. I feel refreshed, inspired. I feel like me again - driven and ready to tackle my next adventure after graduation.
Perhaps the French do have a much better balance in their lives. I've heard this countless times since I've moved here, "In the U.S you live to work, here we work to live." I never understood the difference in my field because well photography is my passion, but now I think I'm beginning to. To be my best, I need to be me and that is only achieved by taking some time for myself each week.
I'm still hustling and preparing for my exhibition in May, but I'm also starting to look at things la vie en rose. A bientôt xx
