When you're a student, Autumn means one thing - it's midterm season. Usually I am so busy stressing over school at this time I forget to look around and enjoy the beauty this season brings. The past three weeks I have been extremely stressed out making sure everything is ready for midterms, I even lost 15 lbs purely off of the stress. This morning I decided to take a much needed step back to remember why I love being in Paris. I went for a walk with no where in particular in mind, just enjoying the city and the sights. I ended up along the seine and then the Tuilleries gardens and was shocked to see that autumn had reached Paris! The colors in the trees were vibrantly shining in the sunlight, and I thought to myself how did I almost let stress make me miss this. Sometimes we become too engrossed in whatever we're working on or focus on things we can't even control, but I think it's important to take a step back and look around once in a while. If you don't, you might miss the leaves when they fall.
